The meeting held on the second Tuesday is Council's General Meeting and is
held over a full day. Council also holds an additional half-day meeting on
the fourth Tuesday of most months to deal with any overflow work arising
from the General Meeting.
Where Council's meeting schedule is varied - as occurs from time to time
due to special circumstances or public holidays - any variations are advertised
in the local media and on our web site.
Agenda items for any General Meeting are required to be submitted to the
Chief Executive Officer by 12:00 noon on the Monday a week prior
to the meeting. If received after this time the item will be referred to
the next meeting.
All Council meetings are open to the public, who may enter and leave the
Council Chamber at any time unless the Council is in a Closed Meeting.
